Kindle Coding Provides Accurate and Timely OASIS Review and Coding Services

One size does not fit all and for that reason Kindle Coding has created a Tiered Service Plan option. With this choice, you select the level of service you desire based on your agency’s specific need. These services are available to you as an ongoing service plan or as needed based on the specific requirements of your agency.

Bronze

Coding - Includes complete review of the assessment narrative, plan of care, and other supporting documents; placement of diagnosis codes entered directly in the home health agency’s software program; includes recommendations for compliance with Official Coding Guidelines and OASIS Guidance.

Silver

Coding with OASIS review- Includes complete review of the OASIS, assessment narrative, plan of care, and other supporting documents; placement of diagnosis codes entered directly in the home health agency’s software program; includes recommendations for compliance with Official Coding Guidelines and OASIS Guidance.

Gold

Coding with OASIS review and POC: all services included in Silver & Bronze packages plus creation of the Plan of Care (POC).

Method for review

We thoroughly review the agency’s software program or faxed/encrypted paper documents. We are familiar and experienced with many of the major Home Health Agency software programs.

OASIS/Coding Specialist

Each OASIS Coding Specialist is certified both in OASIS and in-home care coding. The following are minimum required credentials for our Coding Specialists:

– HCS-D: Homecare OASIS Specialist

– Diagnosis COS-C: Certificate for OASIS Specialist

– Clinical HCS-O: Homecare Clinical Specialist

– OASIS BCHH-C: Board Certified Home Health

– Coder COQS: Certified OASIS Quality Specialist

Recommendations

We offer recommendations regarding OASIS and coding. The recommendations address a possible need for additional supportive documentation by the clinician and/or the physician, if necessary.

We target a return of 2 business days, but often we have a turnaround time of 1 day or the same business day.
